Support For Parents

Parenting Workshops

A group experience in a supportive and safe environment allows parents to connect with others who are navigating similar challenges, fostering a sense of community and shared understanding. In our small workshop, facilitated by two psychotherapists, you’ll benefit from collective wisdom, diverse perspectives, and mutual support.

The presence of both psychotherapists ensures a structured and focused environment, where discussions are guided thoughtfully and respectfully. This approach includes theory as well as some experiential content and group discussion. This workshop promises to enrich your parenting journey through collaboration, shared experiences, and professional guidance.

Individual Parenting Support Sessions (ie without play therapy)

As a child and adolescent psychotherapist offering one-to-one parent support, I strive to help parents build a deeper, more meaningful connection with their children. I believe that by understanding behaviour as a form of communication, parents can uncover the underlying issues and address them more effectively. My work focuses on guiding parents to become more aware of their responses to their children, helping them break free from reactive patterns and instead foster a growth-oriented mindset.

I’m passionate about supporting parents in their journey of self-awareness.My goal is to empower parents to cultivate a more mindful and supportive relationship with their children, ultimately leading not only to a more harmonious family dynamic but to more resilient and confident children.

Support as Part of the Play Therapy Process

I see parents as vital partners in the therapeutic journey. Before I begin working with your child, we’ll have time together to discuss their developmental history and gather any relevant background information. This will also give you an opportunity to ask questions and for us to build a trusting relationship. Once play therapy starts, we’ll typically meet after every 5 sessions I see parents as vital partners in the therapeutic journeyto review progress and address any concerns. If you’d like to meet more often, just let me know and we can adjust as needed.
